Thank you for spending time with my art. I love plein air painting—there’s nothing like capturing a landscape outdoors in good weather. Living in the Pacific Northwest, I often finish pieces in the studio from photographs, but I take my easel outside whenever I can. Over the years I’ve also enjoyed painting animals and the occasional portrait, working mostly in oils and acrylics. The process brings me joy, and my hope is that my work offers you a moment of peace, delight, and a smile.

I am a Washingtonian, born in Olympia, raised in Lacey and later Fife. After attending Mills College in Oakland, I met my husband in San Francisco. We moved to Boston for a time before returning to Arlington to raise our boys, and since 2006 we’ve made our home in Seabeck. Though largely self‑taught, I’ve learned from wonderful instructors and lectures along the way.

What Works for Me
My approach is simple: show up at the easel, pick up the brush, and make that first mark. Once I do, a “door” opens—and the possibilities are endless.
